The top 10 teams in the world will compete for the championship

Last Saturday - June 24, ER Champ 2023 eliminations took place. They selected 10 teams that qualified for the finals. So time to sum up this year’s eliminations and reveal the best 10 teams in the world.

ER Champ is the largest event of this type in the world. The competition started as Poland Escape (Polish escape room championship) and turned into a global event. Its main goal is to promote the escape room industry and provide entertainment to people all over the world. In recent years, the ER Champ has attracted around 2,000 to 3,000 participants from countries ranging from Japan, France, Poland, Germany to the USA, Canada or Chile.

Best teams in the world 

From 2020, for obvious reasons, the championship has been moved completely to the internet. However, this year’s final returns to the offline formula. The top 10 teams selected in the qualifying rounds made it to the finals.

The final will take place on October 7 in Poznań, Poland, as part of The Great Escape event. It will be a three-day celebration for the escape room industry. The ER Champ finals are scheduled for the second day of the event. The finalists will compete in real escape rooms, which will be built especially for this occasion. They will fight for a trophy and a set of Steam Decks consoles.

Return from a distant galaxy

This year's plot begins with the online eliminations. Players had to find rescue in a galaxy far, far away, get out of an escape pod, and use alien technology accordingly. The entire competition was prepared by a team made up of international experts and volunteers from the escape room community.
