Paweł Balczunas
Paweł played his first escape room in 2014 and immediately got hooked, having visited just shy of 200 ERs since. It was a natural step from the world of online riddles, where you can still find him from time to time (among others, as a co-creator of zest).
He graduated in English but ended up working in IT. While the latter occupies most of Paweł's time now, he hasn't lost touch with his inner linguist and helps around with text correction, translation, and localization.
In 2022, Paweł joined the ER Champ Program Team where he has been responsible for a little bit of everything - mainly the Soulmenders clinic and a number of its puzzles (#DeadRatBoy), as well as hosting and casting the ER Champ livestreams.
Reach out if you'd like to talk about escape rooms, online riddles, language, cats, games, or anything else really.
Other facts
He was awarded with Rector's Award for Academic Merit for his BA thesis on translation of StarCraft II (he still watches the scene and plays sometimes).
Graduated the 7th edition of American Chamber of Commerce's 30 Under 30 Leadership Program and is a member of The Polish Information Processing Society (PTI).
In spare time, Paweł enjoys playing a good (board) game, reading a book, and taking a trip for some sightseeing and finding more escape rooms.
